Elections in the Republic use a ranked-choice voting system. Instead of choosing just one candidate, voters rank all candidates from the one they prefer most to the one they prefer least. These rankings are then combined to see which candidates have the strongest overall support across the electorate.
Because Senators represent the entire population of Vaseya, the candidates with the highest overall rankings are elected. For example, if two Senate seats are available, the two candidates with the strongest total voter preference will fill those seats.
